Meet Carl Schultz
Carl has a life long interest in connecting people with nature. As a kid, he would spend hours exploring nature. In high school, he took a horticulture class and was hooked. After working in the industry, Carl went to the University of Illinois and received a degree in Ornamental Horticulture.
Carl took a job in a tree care company right out of college. After 7 years of experience, he started Horticultural Consultants (1986) so he could help people bring a nature experience right in their own yard. Elected as a Forest Preserve Commissioner in DuPage County in 2002, he spent 10 years also connecting people with nature in the great outdoors.
